Many Wolves fans have been left to fume as a transfer update emerged involving Vitinha.

As per A Bola, the Midlands club have ‘definitely moved away’ from signing the attacking midfield player on a permanent deal after his loan spell at Molineux in the 2020/21 season, meaning that he will be returning to FC Porto.

This has come as a big blow to several WWFC supporters, who have previously called for him to be signed permanently after impressing them with some of his displays.

Vitinha had the highest pass success percentage (90.3%) out of any of his teammates to have played 10 or more games in the Premier League last term (Whoscored), showing how instrumental he was for his team in starting attacks.

However, it looks as if he will not be playing in an Old Gold shirt come next campaign.

Rakesh Patel had the dangerous Jacques Rudolph caught behind after a 40-run opening partnership, and when L Balaji got into the act by dismissing Loots Bosman 35 runs later, India ‘A’ were firmly in the game.But the 243-run partnership between Martin van Jaarsveld and Hylton Ackerman that followed gave South Africa ‘A’ the decisive upper hand in the match. Both batsmen hit centuries, with van Jaarsveld making 128 (225 balls, 18 fours) and Ackerman striking 106 (216 balls, 10 fours, two sixes).The runs came at a fairly quick rate as well, the partnership spanning 61 overs before van Jaarsveld was caught behind off Balaji. قضت محكمة جنح الاقتصادية برئاسة المستشار شريف البيلي، بحبس مرتضى منصور، رئيس نادي الزمالك سنتين في القضيتين اللتين رفعهما الكابتن محمود الخطيب، رئيس النادي، بعد قيام الأول بالتجاوز والسب والقذف عبر وسائل الإعلام.

وكان محمد عثمان المستشار القانوني للأهلي قد أقام الدعوى رقم 3435 لسنة 2021 جنح مالية والمقيدة برقم 45 لسنة 2022 جنح اقتصادية.

والقضية رقم 3514 لسنة 2021 جنح مالية والمقيدة برقم 83 جنح اقتصادية.

وقضت المحكمة اليوم بحبس المتهم سنة في كل قضية وتغريمه عشرة آلاف جنيه.

ودفع تعويض مؤقت للكابتن محمود الخطيب قدره عشرة آلاف جنيه.

يذكر، أن هناك خلافات شديدة بين محمود الخطيب ومرتضى منصور منذ أعوام تطورت إلى اللجوء للقضاء.

Glasgow Rangers defender Nikola Katic has revealed that he is desperate to return to action at Ibrox after missing the entire 2020/21 campaign through injury.

The Lowdown: Katic struggles

The previous campaign was a magnificent one for the Gers as they won the Premiership for the first time in 10 years, but the Croatian did not play a single minute (Transfermarkt).

He picked up a serious injury during the pre-season training (BBC) and was therefore sidelined for the entire season.

The Latest: Katic desperate

Speaking to Rangers TV, Katic revealed his desire to return to the action. He said:

“I am happy that all that is behind me and now I am ready to go with the team again.

“I am desperate to get back on the pitch, I lost 12 months with my injury and now I am so desperate to play and so excited.

“I’m giving everything 24 hours per day to be as ready as possible to help the team and to prove to the manager and fans how ready I am.”

The Verdict: Like a new signing

As the Premiership was cut short during the 2019/20 campaign due to the global pandemic, Katic played in 19 of a possible 29 league matches and looked as though he would play a big role the following season. Then fate intervened, but it certainly didn’t seem to hurt the Gers too much as they conceded just 13 goals on their way to the league title (thefishy.co.uk).

However, there is no doubting that £1.44m-valued Katic (Transfermarkt) is a player Steven Gerrard trusts given his regularity of action in 2019/20, and his return to the side will almost feel like a new signing. His desire to play could be a huge boost and, if handled correctly by Gerrard, he could have a big say in the Gers’ potential achievements next term.

Ben Godfrey and Ben White could be the future of Everton, the club’s former defender Michael Ball told The Transfer Tavern in an exclusive interview.

Arsenal were thought to be close to signing the English centre-back. However, according to the Daily Mail, Everton are looking to gazump their Premier League rivals and are in talks with Brighton over a £50m deal.

When it comes to that centre-back position, the Toffees currently have the likes of Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Godfrey. And alongside the latter, Ball believes White could help give the club a centre-half partnership for years.

Speaking exclusively to TT about Everton’s interest in the 23-year-old, the retired full-back said:

“You can obviously see Ben White and Ben Godfrey playing together and as the future of the club.

“Yeah, 50 million does seem a lot of money, but it’s the way football’s gone nowadays.”

White was one of Brighton’s standout defenders last term. He averaged more tackles per league game (1.4) than fellow centre-backs Adam Webster (one) and Lewis Dunk (0.9, via WhoScored).

The England international also averaged 1.7 interceptions, again more than the team’s other central defenders.

Ultimately, the defensive quality is certainly there, though the £50m fee he is commanding is questionable after just one season in the Premier League.
