O Grêmio pode recorrer a uma alternativa sul-americana para aprimorar sua pontaria na próxima temporada. De acordo com o diário “ABC Color”, o clube teria feito uma proposta de US$ 3 milhões (em torno de R$ 12 mil) pela contratação do atacante Fernando Fernández, do Guaraní (PAR).

However, if Robertson had been sent off for the challenge on Allan, then it may have been a completely different match, but in a game that was jam-packed full of incidents, that is purely hypothetical.

Carlo Ancelotti must recall Marcel Brands snubbing FC Barcelona’s approach for Richarlison after Real Madrid were linked with a potential move for Everton’s irresistible striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

What’s the word?

According to TodoFichajes, Madrid have placed Calvert-Lewin on their agenda as Los Blancos begin scouring the market to find Karim Benzema’s replacement at the Santiago Bernabeu having been left unimpressed by Luka Jovic’s form.

The Madrid hierarchy are understood to have no confidence in Jovic being the one to take over from Benzema, just a year after signing the Serbian from Eintracht Frankfurt for around €60million (£53.2m) and awarding the forward a six-year contract on the back of a 27-goal season in Germany.

Los Blancos are expected to attempt moving Jovic on in the upcoming winter market in order to raise funds for his replacement in the Spanish capital, who is thought to be Calvert-Lewin, having only scored twice in 30 games under Zinedine Zidane.

Madrid are said to have already contacted Everton to discuss Calvert-Lewin’s availability, as they are keen to take the lead in any race that may emerge for his services given his form under Ancelotti this term will not have gone unnoticed elsewhere.

Calvert-Lewin is considered one of the great sensations of the new Premier League season after striking seven goals in five games, while stretching his tally to ten for the term thus far across all competitions with a hat-trick against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.

Real Madrid are preparing a €40m (£36.4m) offer for the 23-year-old and would look to close the deal in June should they fail in offloading Jovic in January.

No need to worry

Despite reports suggesting Madrid consider Calvert-Lewin to be their Benzema successor and that an offer of €40m could be on the cards soon, Ancelotti should have no reason to suspect the striker will be leaving Goodison Park for the Santiago Bernabeu any time soon.

The fee in question alone is reason enough for Ancelotti to scoff at Los Blanco’s alleged interest, as Everton reportedly slapped an £80m asking price on the striker this September amid interest from Manchester United.

That was also before the 23-year-old opened the league season with at least a goal a game, while justifying the Red Devils opting to walk away from their hopes of signing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attacking target.

Everton refusing to devalue one of their prized assets paid dividends with Calvert-Lewin’s start to the season, and came as the latest signal of intent from the Goodison Park outfit that they wish to strengthen not deplete the options Ancelotti has.

Director of Football Brands immediately snubbed an alleged €100m (£85m) offer for Richarlison back in January as Barcelona’s former Sporting Director Eric Abidal strived to land his long-term target.

Ancelotti had only been at Goodison Park for a month when that offer came through, but will have been buoyed by Brands’ decision and only has to remember those discussions should Madrid come forward with an offer for Calvert-Lewin.

O terceiro rebaixamento do Vasco em oito anos tem como principais responsáveis Eurico Miranda e Roberto Dinamite, que fizeram péssimas administrações no clube carioca, combalido financeiramente.

Sem recursos e com uma grande cisão interna não foi de espantar que caísse mais uma vez, embora seja uma pena para sua enorme e fanática torcida.

E que a torcida dê o apoio em 2016 que vimos ontem no Paraná, porque os jogadores, repito, mostraram brio, garra, muita força de vontade. Caíram lutando. E isso não é pouco, não.

ونشرت صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية تصريحات بارجوان وقال: “لقد كان لدي القليل من الوقت للعمل، حاولت أن أطالبهم بالعمل على المستوى الدفاعي والهجومي، قمنا بتصحيح شيء ما، عندما تكون هناك نتيجة سلبية، يصعب استيعابها”.

وأضاف: “بيكيه يخضع للفحص الآن، وأجويرو أخبرني أنه كان مصابًا بدوار قليل، الآن عرفت أنه في المستشفى ولا أعرف أي شيء آخر، أعرف أنهم يجرون اختبارات وفحوصات”.

وتابع: “اليوم لعبنا بشكل صحيح، الاستحواذ، التوازن بين الخطوط، إذا وصلت إلى كييف يوم الثلاثاء، سنفعل نفس الشيء، سنحاول إحياء الفريق، حتى يعرفوا أنهم جيدون جدًا وأن عليهم أن يؤمنوا بأنفسهم”.

وواصل: “في الشوط الأول واجهنا صعوبة في اللعب بين الخطوط، قمنا بالتحرك، أعتقد أننا حركنا الكرة بسرعة في النهاية”.

وعن نتيجة التعادل، أفاد: “الشعور مرير، لمحاولة القيام بما عملنا من أجله أعتقد أننا فعلنا ذلك، لكن عندما تتعادل بغض النظر عن مدى حسن تفسيرك لذلك، لا أحد يصدقك، عليك أن تستعيد اللاعبين جسديًا وذهنيًا دعهم يرون إننا نسير على الطريق الصحيح”.

وأكد: “معرفة متى سيأتي المدرب الجديد لا تعيقني على الإطلاق، سنخطط للمباريات القادمة وسنحاول إحياء اللاعبين، فهم جيدون للغاية وعليهم أن يؤمنوا بأنفسهم”.

وواصل المدير الفني لـ برشلونة: “لا يزال هناك الكثير في الليجا، ولكن أول شيء عليك فعله هو الفوز”.

وحول الإصابات، علّق: “هذا ما هو عليه الوضع، لا يمكنني فعل أي شيء آخر، لقد وجده رونالد كومان بالفعل وضعا معقدا، وعلينا أن نجد الحل لتعويض الإصابات التي نتعرض لها، لا يوجد خيار سوى الاستمرار في التطلع إلى الأمام، سننتظر للغد، لنقرر بشأن المباراة المقبلة”.

وأتم: “علينا أولًا أن نخلق الفرص ونسجلها، للفوز، علينا أن نسجل أكثر من منافسينا، علينا أن نكون أكثر عدوانية، ونوقف الخصوم، حتى وإن استدعى الأمر تلقينا بطاقة، هذا ما أنا هنا من أجله علينا إيقاف الخصم بطريقة ما”.

Leeds United should have “gone and signed” Ben Foster this summer, according to former Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland, who has been speaking exclusively to Football FanCast.

The Whites gained promotion from the Championship to feature in the top-flight for the first time in 16 years and signed no fewer than five new additions during the summer, splashing a club-record £26m on Rodrigo from Valencia as well as bringing back Jack Harrison on loan from Manchester City.

Victor Orta also secured the permanent signature of Illan Meslier, who quickly established himself as Marcelo Bielsa’s no.1 between the sticks following Kiko Casilla’s eight-game ban last season.

Despite the 20-year-old joining the club from Lorient, Kirkland believes that the Watford veteran would’ve been exactly what the Yorkshire giants needed for a fair crack at the big time.

He told FFC:

“I’d have gone and signed Ben Foster, all day long. When you come up to the Premier League you need somebody that’s got an experience at a big club, and Leeds are a huge club.

“Listen, I’ve not seen the Leeds keepers too much. But again, if you’re asking me would I sign Ben Foster over them? Yeah. I don’t need to know much about them.

“Because unless they’re Alisson, which they’re not, then I would say go and sign Ben Foster 100%.”

The 37-year-old has had a wealth of experience in the Premier League, playing a total of 364 times where he has kept 90 clean sheets and conceded 521 goals for the likes of Manchester United, Birmingham City, West Brom and of course, the Hornets.

Neither Meslier until this season, nor Casilla have featured in the English top-flight, so a move for the 6 foot 4 glovesman would’ve made sense.

Foster is only on around £32.5k-per-week at Vicarage Road and has continued to be their main man in goal, keeping four clean sheets in ten Championship outings.

Whether it’s something Bielsa and Orta want to revisit in January or next summer very much remains to be seen.
